With over 15 years of experience in the shoe repair craft, we specialise in the repair and rebuild of Goodyear welted footwear. We provide expert workmanship for dress shoes & boots and work & heritage style boots. All repair work is carried out in our Brentford workshop located in a converted riverside 1930's soap factory that we share with Duke Of London, a classic and supercar hub.

At the Brentford Cobbler we offer a full repair and rebuild service on all Red Wing boots and shoes. This includes replacement of all types of through soles, mid soles, cork cushion, new shanks and welting. From wedge soles through to the Vibram 430 mini-lug soles, Goodyear outsole stitching to leather treating and cleaning. Simply drop them off to us in the shop or take advantage of our free DPD return post service and send them in to us by post. For more information see our Repair By Post page.

How It Works
- Select & purchase the desired repair.
If you are unsure which repair best suits your footwear needs, please contact us and we'll be happy to advise you.
- Box up your items and post it to our address below.
Please include your name, contact details and order number in the box and use a reputable carrier as postage to us is your responsibility.
- We will contact you by phone or SMS to confirm receipt of your items.
if further repairs are required, such as heel lining or re-welting, we will discuss this with you before commencing work.
- Upon completion, your items will be securely shipped back to you via DPD and we will provide you with the necessary tracking information.
Return postage is included in all pricing.
Our turnaround time is generally 2-4 weeks.

Leather & Sued Dyeing
Give your shoes a new lease of life or a completely brand new look. We use the American brand Angelus dyes that are known to soak deep into the leather and won’t fade or wash out with time.
Available in a range of colours.
Please get in touch with any queries on colour matching.
Please note that leather and sued can only be dyed a darker shade than the colour they currently are, not lighter.
Red Wing Repairs
As well as re-soling all kinds of shoe brands, from Trickers to John Lobb and everything in-between, we have really become well known over the years for being THE London based Red Wing Boots repair shop.
Our work shop located in Brentford, sitting on the edge of the Thames in our refitted Victorian soap factory.
Sole Repair
We specialise in Goodyear welted leather sole and rebuild services, using only the best quality oak bark tanned leather soles and heels. When you book this service, like all of our others, we guarantee you’ll be satisfied with the process and result.
All leather sole replacement include the removal of original welt stitches, new cork cushion filler, shanks and leather stacked heel blocks. We then clean, condition and polish the leather upper.
